Community Template Recovery QA

Understanding the Issue

What is a Custom nCino Community Template?

It is a customer-created deployment configuration in ARM. It defines which nCino configuration objects, filters, and relationships ARM should retrieve and deploy. Community Templates function like saved searches or filter sets. They store deployment criteria but do not contain borrower, loan, account, transactional, or other underlying Salesforce or nCino business data.

What happened to the affected Community Templates?

Our investigation identified a bug was introduced in ARM 26.2.11 (deployed on June 14th, 2026) which caused custom nCino Community Templates created before, and not modified since, June 2025, to become unavailable. This affected saved Community Template definitions in ARM only. It did not affect the underlying data or configuration in customer Salesforce or nCino environments.

Scope of Impact

Were Salesforce or nCino business records affected?

No. Customer Salesforce and nCino records, including borrower, loan, account, and transactional data, were not accessed, deleted, modified, or exposed. Customer Salesforce environments and their underlying configuration were also unaffected.

Recovery and Remediation

What has AutoRABIT done in response?

  • Identified and mitigated the bug associated with ARM 26.2.11.
  • Validated the scope of affected customers and templates.
  • Developed and tested a recovery process.
  • Restored available template records and operational metadata.
  • Implemented additional safeguards to prevent recurrence.

What information was restored?

AutoRABIT restored available template records and operational metadata, including:

  • Selected objects
  • Relationships
  • Filters
  • Version lineage
  • Supported Deployment or CI Job references

Can all affected templates be recovered?

Recovery results may vary depending on the customer environment and template history. If a template requires additional recovery work, AutoRABIT will identify the specific template and coordinate directly with your team to do so. You do not need to investigate templates that AutoRABIT has not identified for validation or additional recovery.

Validating Restored Templates

Who should perform validation?

Validation should be completed by someone familiar with the affected template configuration and deployment workflow, such as:

  • An ARM administrator
  • An nCino functional owner
  • A release team member

Can I use a restored template immediately?

If possible, validate the restored version in a non-production environment before using it for production activity. After successful validation, create a new version before using Deploy from Template.

Will existing Deployments and CI Jobs continue to work?

Existing Deployments and CI Jobs are expected to work where the required template configuration was recovered. Before production use, validate the specific workflows identified for your tenant.
