Senior Release Consultant (DC, NY, and San Ramon)

About AutoRABIT: We are Cloud based Continuous Delivery solution specifically designed for Salesforce.com. AutoRABIT move customers towards IT Modernization by providing end-to-end DevOps automation for Salesforce.com development.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Release Consultant who will be joining our Enterprise Services team to assist with customer implementations. The position will be based in our DC, NY, or San Ramon, CA office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Building a scalable CI Based delivery mechanism
  • Define and manage change control process for development and release readiness criteria and ensure all changes meet criteria prior to deployment
  • Define and implement a standardized deployment schedules that delivers hotfix, minor, medium and major releases
  • Automate the deployments to Salesforce release environments ( DevOrgs, Sandboxes, Production) using AutoRABIT
  • Build & Review the branching strategy and setup CI process to automate the deployments
  • Provides subject matter expertise for Source control operations ( Check-ins, Merge, Branching Strategy etc.)
  • Understand the Data model of the clients and comes up a test data plan
  • Set up Data migration jobs to setup Dev/Test environments using AutoRABIT Data loader
  • Validate Post Release Activities / Track release metrics to improvement and report successes/failures to stakeholders and Teams
  • Should be able to train the teams on AutoRABIT
  • Ensure all security and compliance guidelines for application release candidates are met, and application releases moving to production environments have been successfully tested, have adequate business approval and application owner signoff to proceed
  • Facilitates lessons learned meetings for release issues and follows through on resolutions incorporating them into best release practices where applicable
  • Assists in release management activities for improving current release practices, new processes and projects that drive value for the business

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Expert Knowledge on salesforce as a platform
  • Expert knowledge of Source control tool, preferably GIT/ Subversion.
  • Good knowledge of ALM tools like Jira , Version One , Agile accelerator works
  • 7 years of experience in Salesforce Platform with at least 3 years of experience specific to Salesforce release management.
  • Should have strong understanding of deployments using Force.com migration tools
    • ANT
    • IDE based
    • Changeset
  • Expertise in setting up CI/CD practice is highly desirable.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills with Salesforce deployment failures.

Job Expectations:

Certifications in Cloud Security are required. AWS Certifications is required CISSP is preferred. Experience working for a Third-party Assessment Organization is a big plus.

The Enterprise Architect in the DevOps Stream is a Subject Matter Expert in one or more categories that may include: business strategy, CI/CD architecture, data & information, integration, security, cloud computing, technology, distributed platforms, and analytics.

  • Deep knowledge and expertise across the Salesforce.com platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.), including experience delivering complex SFDC solutions via both declarative and customization aspects.
  • Has delivered multiple full end-to-end Salesforce.com implementations/projects, especially including highly-integrated/complex ecosystems. Understands how to deliver capabilities on Salesforce AppExchange products.
  • Has sound understanding of DevOps architectures and has experience of implementing end-to-end CI/CD practice for Salesforce implementations.
  • Discover the release process automation goals of the customer, perform DevOps maturity assessments and create a delivery based project milestones.
  • Design the CI/CD Pipeline architecture for the AutoRABIT customers
  • Perform project and program management activities, inclusive of project financials.
  • Perform quarterly business reviews that include product adoption, review of the milestones and set up the future road map.
  • Serves as a collaborative team-player who possesses the ability to drive consensus and comradery. Ability to negotiate and obtain buy-in across various constituents and stakeholders at the organization, including within the lines-of-business.
  • Acts as the escalation point when issues arise and understand what to do and who to work with to resolve them.
  • Subject-matter expert in all facets related to the particular work-effort/stream and is the “go to” manager for all areas contained within the particular space.
  • Get it done” mentality, with the ability to deliver against milestones, regardless of the challenges thrown their way.

Must have:

  • Certified Salesforce Technical Architect, Application Architect or Systems Architect
  • 4+ years – experience in defining and delivering custom Force.com enterprise applications in a technical and/or functional leadership role including release automation
  • 4+  years  – experience with key areas of enterprise architecture, including integration technologies and master data management

* Provide strong facilitation and leadership of cross-functional teams.

* Work as a liaison between sales and delivery teams to make sure the deliveries are done on time

* Provide strategic guidance and though process to the clients so that they can achieve

* Work with. Clients to provide guidance on how they need to adopt to new technologies and also how high release velocity can be achieved
